Screw sizes from M6-M12 are used for the battery attachment points.  WITOLe are used as a fastening solution for the battery modules, the battery housings and inside the junction box.

For tension-free screw fastening, especially with large displays, tolerance compensation elements support optimal mounting.

Screw sizes from M5 onwards are used for screw fittings for metric dimensions. In the case of plastic direct screw fittings, it must be agreed which thread form can be used.

By using suitable materials in the WITOL elements, vibration decoupling properties can be integrated.

In general, a minimum construction height of 10 mm would be required for a compensation path of +/- 2 mm. Nevertheless, there is the option of integrating the WITOL element into existing counter components, such as with the WITOL Surface. In this way, the required installation space can be reduced to about 4 mm.

The basic challenge is to integrate them into the roof in a flush, tight and tension-free manner. The fastening system plays a key role here.

Both fixed glazing and glass retractable roofs have a demanding fastening situation, which makes the use of tolerance compensation elements necessary.

Particularly in the case of flush external door handles (FDHs), the difficulty is to position the door handle in such a way that no loads are transferred to the thin outer door trim when fixing it. Otherwise, optical deformations could occur.

No axial forces arise during the joining process and thus positioning and fastening is considerably simplified.

Examples include interior door trim, fixing of bodypanels to door structures and the exterior mirror.

Usually they are used as additional support points to prevent unwanted vibration or noise.

Our WITOL is an automatic system that is suitable for blind bolting.

The assembly of module cross beams is facilitated by providing joint gaps that are closed again by means of tolerance compensation elements during the bolting process.

Yes, self-tapping screws can also be used with our tolerance compensation elements to form a thread in the magnesium beam during the screwing process.

By integrating suitable additional components in conjunction with our tolerance compensation elements or adding additional support points, the vibration behaviour of the module cross beam can be influenced and the noise generation significantly reduced.

Compared to a conventional fuel filler flap, the requirements and functionalities of a tailboard module are far more complex. Due to stationary loading processes, the tailboard is increasingly becoming a design feature of a vehicle. This results in high visual requirements. The operating forces to be expected when plugging in and unplugging the charging cable are also significantly higher than in the classic refuelling process.

Two basic principles can be distinguished. On the one hand, it is a matter of decoupling and aligning the visible and functional components, while on the other hand, the precise alignment of the entire module is carried out by means of tolerance compensation systems. In both cases, tolerance compensation systems make a significant contribution to meeting the technical and visual requirements.
